Yesterday, Palmer succeeded in putting on his own shoes. For a really smart kid, his spatial awareness is pretty slow. He's just now deciding that he wants to pull his own pants up and put on his own socks and shoes. Every time he tries to do any of these things, he has failed and thrown himself on the floor crying. Poor kid. It must be frustrating for him. Then yesterday, we had success. Here's what the result is!
The latest accomplishment of Palmer is really just my recognition of the fact that i have a very orderly son (he must take after his dad). When I asked Palmer to help me clean up his room before naptime, this is what I got. He spends most of his playtime lining things up. He's started putting them in color order or number order lately. It's pretty funny to watch. I am amazed at this little kid. Yet another reason why I love being a mom.

Wow!! He can write his letters? That is GREAT! What a smarty. I love that he loves order. John told me after you wrote about Ronell ironing (on my blog) that he was his most organized roommate. It's fun to see what we passed onto our children. That trait will definitely come in handy!
Very impressive! You can see the teacher in you coming out in how you mother! Those qualities will be of so much use to Palmer as he gets older. So fun!!
So... Briawna... I'm all for our kids falling in love and getting married. I guess we have a long time to wait. Oh, and we have to convince them that they did it all on their own. I think it is perfect. I don't think we would have a problem getting along with the in laws:). Here is to hoping.
Holy cow he is smart?! He's way ahead of the game for sure. Pretty impressive.
