It's a .........................................

BABY! Are you surprised? I love seeing people's reaction when we tell them we're not finding out the gender of our baby. There are lots of logical reasons why being surprised by this one makes sense (we're prepared for either one, we're moving shortly after the baby's born so no need to set up a nursery, etc.) but really it's just because I've always wanted to be surprised. I'm very proud of the fact that neither Ronell or I had the urge to find out while at our ultrasound today. All that really mattered to me was making sure our little one is healthy. And everything was perfect, even down to the little one sucking a thumb while the technician snapped this shot.

Now we need to find some names. That's really the only challenging part of not finding out the gender, naming the little one. But I'm sure at some point I'll post a poll of our favorites for your approval. For now, we're overjoyed that our baby is healthy and apparently very content in it's current location. Palmer and Portia were fascinated by all the body parts they saw and the loud heartbeat. They're still a little confused as to why we can't "take our baby home" yet. We're halfway there!

Will your baby's name start with a "P"??
I'm impressed with your will-power! I could NEVER calm my curiosity enough. But, that will make for an exciting birth-day!

I remember a while ago you said you didn't want to know with your third...and you stuck to it! Zach, Elizabeth and I will be headed to Utah next Feb-ish while John is in busy season, so we will come visit your growing family for sure :) Miss you guys!
