A Christmas Tradition

One of the traditions we've had from the beginning of our marriage (yes, the whole five years) is making a gingerbread house. Palmer was very excited because he got to help this year. Of course, as soon as we were done making the house, Palmer started eating it. And then, because Palmer was doing it, Portia had to be in on the action. She, however, was catching the candy that Palmer either threw or dropped. I had to snap a few pictures before the house was history. I think from here on out, the tradition won't be picking at the house little by little but seeing who can eat most of the house first!

I love it! I'm going to attempt that for the first time with the kids this year, it should be interesting. All the candy is just too tempting for them to resist. I love Portia catching all the candy!
